Just about have mine all done. Completed my magpul furniture. I need to buy a new adapter for the MS-1 sling now, just installed the new stock, grip, and sight. Trijicon RX01. Can’t wait to go shoot it.

I’m a gamer (USPSA multi gun)… not very pretty, replaced a retired Colt in 2005… RRA 16″ mid upper with TA31F, Armalite Eagle lower, Enidine buffer and modified Miculek brake, A1 stock, RRA two stage trigger… recently replaced the fore end to try to lighten it up

How do you like that armbrace? Do you feel it’s suitable for home defence?

How do you like the g3? The ones we had in the army have been very instable… once you finally had your rifle setup to actually shoot precise you just had to look at it and it was already messed up again. I gave up at some point. 🙂

I’ve had my ups and downs with them.
The longer one is a PTR (HK clone) and the shorter one is a custom “pistol” clone built on a PTR receiver.
So no true HK. But both with HK or HK-contract internals.

Sent the long one back for a replacement in 2008 (soft trunnion) and its replacement has been very reliable.
Sent the custom-built back for some feeding issues and it too has been fine.
Tested with several military surplus types and new factory ammo as well as the blue plastic training rounds.
Just recently running it through its paces since putting on the brace.

Have not had the time to shoot for ‘groups’ yet. Hopefully this fall.

for EricP… off topic for the rest… if you have to come down South in the heat, a cooler can be added with a couple of sheet steel straps to hook over the rear cross member…rope handle so you can lift it… round head bolts on inside to protect hands, and nylon locking nuts to keep from collapsing cooler side…. folding chair if you are over 65… new tires after Area 6 as Frank’s rock road did a number on the old ones
