My first AR Build and it is a Frankengun (a little late for Halloween)

we shoot a monthly modified 3gun match using .22lr for the long gun, with regular pistol and shotgun so it can be shot on a 35y pistol range… upper with CMMG Atchison unit with a dedicated CMMG barrel… optic has been replaced with my older TA01 4×32… lower is my back up carbine RRA

30rd Polymer mags will not work without modification. I have tried Promag, Tapco, Magpul and one more I can not remember. I haven’t had the opportunity to try a Palm. 20-rd polys are fine.

Steel and aluminum mags seem to all work fine with no modification and no interference.

I thought it might interfere with some mag-types.. Might be going for a Saiga .223 ar-15 mag conversion though, that would be pretty bad :censored: in one of those chassis…
