I decided I wanted to free float my 14.5 middy…. Long story short, I have 2 14.5 middys and 9 PSA lowers to go.
Really digging the mega billet upper, might wind up filling another lower.
Well after nearly 4.5 months, my Eform 1 was approved today! So here is my entry into the evil black rifle “sickness”
PTR 91 12″ barrel. Added a HK heavy buffer, picatinny rail and foregrip, and vortex spitfire 1x prism scope with red/green illumination. Stock is surplus HK.
Also added upgraded trigger group which brought trigger pull down to 4.5 lbs from 12 and noticeably less creep/over travel.

Yeah, a few posts up I said I wished I had gone with billet for both. Or better yet their matched upper/lower. Oh well just an excuse to build another one 🙂

Honestly, I’ll probably end up ceracoting/duracoating some soft black and maybe blue lines on it…kind of an urban camo thing. But, it’s way down on the list of priorities.
