Keymastertruth is, i have a huge sense of humor.
BUT
when you make a dumb comment like he did (again, there is a picture of a suppressor and he’s trying to make it into something else0, im going to call you out on it.
now if there was no picture, or this wasnt about guns and gun parts, sure, i get it, ‘huh huh huh nice cans lol lol lol lol lol’ but otherwise it just doesnt work.September 24, 2025 at 7:05 am #21419admin

KeymasterWow, still haven’t learned to just move on, have you? We get it, you’re too much of a big tough srs man with srs man business going on and a srs man sense of humor to laugh at a little play on words.

Keymasteractually it would be the guy that mentioned it again that kept it going.

Keymasteri had the gun photo shoot. The 1911 was not part of the family yet. Love the black rifles…

KeymasterI think my AR is almost done, all I want to change now is the grip.
Thinking the tango down battle grip.

KeymasterThis is the closest thing I have to an evil black rifle. In the conservative backwater where I live, even a black plastic front stuffer gets dirty looks. It’s a fun little gun though, short barrel, great in the river bottoms, easy to clean, accurate within range, goes boom when I pull the trigger.

KeymasterMaybe you’re getting dirty looks because your ultra-modern rifle makes a mockery of the spirit of the muzzleloader season. 😮
Not that I’m judging. :bounce:September 24, 2025 at 7:09 am #21443admin
Keymasterjust picked up a bushmaster with a 20 inch barrel friday. I was really wanting to get one with a shorter barrel but they have become hard to find around here and wasnt bad deal for $700. I will just buy a new upper receiver for it down the road

KeymasterYou’d be hard pressed to find an AR-15 (or a black rifle of any kind) for sale around here, and you wouldn’t get one for a price that low. Good find!

KeymasterIndeed! I’m looking for an SKS mostly because I can’t even come close to affording an AR in today’s market.

KeymasterThe SKS prices have gotten a little silly. They’re not bad for about $300 or less, but you can do better for a little more. I picked up used Kel-Tec SU16 for $450 not too long ago, and it’s a great little rifle

KeymasterI actually did take a look at those, but they’re harder to find and I’ve heard bad things about Keltec. Maybe they’re unfair criticisms, I honestly don’t know. I’ve never handled or shot one of their guns. Someday I’d love to get a Sub2000, but that’s a little farther down the road. If I can find one for the right price, an SU16 might be my entrance into the world of 5.56. 😎
Edit to add: A quick Armslist search turned up 5 Keltec rifles for sale in Ohio. Slim pickings, and the prices are a bit much for me. It’s definitely one I’ll keep in mind and take a look at, though. Thanks!

KeymasterI still remember the days of the glut and SKS’s were stacked in a barrel like loaves of French bread. Maadi AK’s too. SKS’s went as low as $69.00. AK’s were about $20 bucks more.

I was a little late to the party in 1997. Mine was $150, I think. Nowadays I could hawk it for $450 or more.:pI actually did take a look at those, but they’re harder to find and I’ve heard bad things about Keltec. I’ve owned 3 Kel-Tecs (P32, P11, and SU16-A), and I intend to own more. Every one of mine has been a gem. They can be a little rough from the factory. You’re not going to get a custom target trigger from the factory. But for the price you’ll get a lot of gun for the money.
The trigger on my P11 was rather heavy and gritty at first, but it smoothed out nicely after a period of dryfire. I remember picking it up one day and thinking “This is WAY better than it used to be!” :p
The Kel-Tec community has developed “fluff and buffs” for the various weapons to address various issues (minor tweaks, trigger jobs, polishing stuff, etc). All of it is easy for novices to do.
If you DO have something break, Kel-Tec has excellent customer service and they’ll fix any problems you do have. As in “replace it with a brand new one” if they need to.
