Expired Antiseptic cream or leave the wounds just like this?

I’ve a question in mind:

Let’s say one day i’m trapped in the woods, and unfortunately, i’ve got myself a deep cut on my arm while i was walking around the bushy areas. I’ve an antiseptic ointment with myself, but unfortunately it’s expired. Let’s say my wound now is very dirty, and i’ve no clean water to clean my wound, all i have is my antiseptic ointment. Will it be better to:

(A) Use the expired antiseptic ointment on my wound?

or

(B) Just leave the wound like this?
