KeymasterRef the e11, am I right that it doesn’t stand on its tail? That’s something I use a lot. P. S. Still love my e05.:)

KeymasterI’d like it in lime green, bright yellow, and orange at the very least.

KeymasterLol I do that all the time on the Miata forum and on bikeforums. So much I was gifted my own picture, which I’ll now pass on to you.

KeymasterI EDC an E05. I like the size and the flood beam output is more usable to me. The brightness is just fine and the runtime isn’t a problem for me. I use rechargeable batteries and recharge them all every so often anyway so I never run out to begin with.

Click to expand…Yes – the E11 doesn’t tail-stand by default. Although one forum member retro-fitted his with a tail shroud to achieve tail-stand. You might ask if he’ll hook you up.

KeymasterOn the subject of tail-standing:
With a tail clicky, a tail-standing light means the clicky has to be recessed, like the Malkoff MD series. I’ve found that repeated use of the recessed clicky makes my thumb ache, particularly if I’m using momentary versus on/off. The irritation of the joint pain outweighs the benefit of independent tail-standing, to me.

KeymasterI can understand that. I find the recessed clicky on my larger light hurts my thumb when I try to use it like that, but I thought that was because of the short length of the torch.

Click to expand…I first noticed it with a Solarforce x2 AA light, which is pretty long, then again with the MD2. The thumb pain doesn’t become as much of an issue with my Surefire E1L and Z68 tailcap because I can “cigar grip” the light; that keeps my thumb straight while pushing the button.
You’re the only other person to admit to having a similar pain, so maybe we’re just nuts? :bounce:
