First aid kit help

Hey guys,
So I am finally getting my edc/BOB ready and the last thing I need is a First aid kit.
I dont know the difference between the levels of FAK’s, can someone explain them?
Also, what would be a good heavy duty FAK, by heavy duty, I mean one that could take care of fairly serious injuries while waiting for the EMT’s. I’ve seen some pretty gnarly stuff happen around here, and have always helped, but was lacking the stuff I needed to take care of serious things. Such as serious bleeding.
