It was time. Time to go through the first aid kits and check for expired meds, ruined bandages, rotten gloves, and the like. I had been dreading this project for a while. Here is a fraction of the pile during the rebuild…

Thankfully I caught this little mess in time. Some of the foil packets had started to leak out and ruin the other contents. Good thing it was already in a little baggie to begin with.

Items from the middle include: Basic survival kit in a 9×6″ Aloksak, EMT shears, nitrile gloves, bandanna, safety pins, moleskin, lightstick, and a SAM splint.

Items on this side include: 4×4 bandages, 2×2 bandages, super sponges, petroleum gauze, QuikClot sport, triangular bandage, OTC meds in foil packets, topicals in foil packets, assorted Band-Aids, pen, hand sanitizer, Inova X1 flashlight, gauze, and 1/2″ tape.

Items on this side include: CPR mask, AMK wilderness first aid guide, abdominal pads, bloodstopper dressing, tweezers, more 1/2″ tape, and a Spyderco Rescue knife.
