Hello EDC world!
I am currently in the market for my very first handgun. This firearm will be carried on me daily, and will be shot at the range weekly. I have done (what I think) is a fair amount of research and seem to have narrowed it down to a few.
I would love to get some input from you experienced shooters, LE officers, seasoned CCW holders, and other firearm veterans before I make my purchase.
Here are some things to consider:
- I am a college student on a tight budget. Trying to keep it under $400 out the door.
- I wear slimmer fitting pants, so slide width is a crucial dimension.
- I want a manual safety unless I go with a revolver.
Please don’t try to sell me on a Glock. I have shot them, I have friends who carry them. I am not interested in owning one myself.
