So, I didn’t want the metal snaps, and one more Velcro ripping sound was too much. Why not use a monkey fist and a tensioned line. Pull up the flap, weasel out the monkey fist, slip out the blade. Reverse the process and lastly pull the end cord to tighten.
Eh, it may not work over the long haul, but after two days it seems pretty flawless. Already working on another horizontal/vertical style with the same latch. Gotta get some of these folders out of my pocket.
