I finally broke down and bought a Bullet, and I’m gonna try to carry it loose in my pocket. I’m a clip guy so I don’t know how this will turn out. Anyway, at the store I bought mine from I had two options, the standard chrome and the matt black. I went with the black, envisioning that someday that black would be nice and scratched and worn and look awesome.

My question is, on the packaging they have that little pen outline picture that shows you the size of the pen, and at the grip area it seems to suggest that the grip is supposed to be ribbed? My black version is smooth. Are the chrome versions ribbed, and does that provide a better grip than the black? The texture of the black is some what grippy but I suspect it’ll smooth out over time. I just don’t want to end up with the same situation I had with my Jotter, it was just far too skinny and slippery for my big hands to write with and I got bad hand fatigue because I had to grip it extra tight to keep from sliding out of my fingers.

Lastly, does anyone have the black version, and how well does the coating hold up?
