The purpose of this FAK was to have a personal kit to carry in my EDC bag that is one of a 3-part comprehensive kit. I have a large trauma kit and CERT bag in the car. I also keep mini-kits in my vest/jacket with gloves, CPR-shield, band-aids, etc.
I was carrying a Franklin Covey planner every day and not getting much use out of it, for as heavy as it was. Turns out, it makes a fine first aid kit. The small tubes of pain reliever fit perfectly in the PDA holder. Single-use swabs and wipes fit perfecctly in the business card holders. I have bandages and tongue depressors (splints) in the sheath that held the Daily Compass sheets.
Other items not shown in the pictures are 4×4 and 6×9 dressings, N95 mask, gloves, CPR-shield, cotton balls, emergency blanket, a thin poncho, and my laminated Red Cross certification cards.
It all zips up into a nice kit which everyone believes is just my planner.
