Succumbed to temptation and decided I had to have a G753. Found a used one on eBay and purchased it for the price of a new plain 753 (stonewashed blade and G10 scales).

I received the knife yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. The knife looks brand new. I don’t believe it has been sharpened, but it is shaving sharp.

    The scales are flawless.

Not one to leave well enough alone, I disassembled the knife last night, and polished the bearing surfaces. I also put a scant drop of 3-in-1 oil on both sides of the blade.

I softened up the springs on the axis lock so that I can now operate it with a just my thumb.

It feels good in the hand. The edge is excellent. I’m not sure how it will last on 440c, nor am I certain that it’s even 440c. But my other Ganzo knives sharpen well enough and hold an edge as well as any of my other knives.

I’m surprised at the size. It’s larger than expected, but still useful. It’s also good looking. The blue anodized fasteners are distinctive. I wish the clip had been anodized as well. I may get a wild hair and try doing it myself.

My only real concern is that the tip looks a little fragile. I’m not likely to use the knife hard, so we’ll see how it lasts.

    I’m pretty happy.
