KeymasterHmmm, I’m pretty certain there are many, many accounts of people receiving warranty support post-stippling. YMMV. Proceed at your own risk.
Edited to add: I’m not disputing the accuracy of the post above regarding warranty limitations.

KeymasterSubie, I also did my Pmags. I found if you keep the tip cooler it gives a more “sandpaper” texture. I also think that the type of polymer has a big influence on how it turns out. I tried a forward grip for my AR (I think it was a Tapco brand), and it came out ok, but not as good as the mags. I dont have the b#lls to try my Glock’s.

Some people prefer checkering, some prefer no extra gripping material. And there are some who enjoy the stippled effect the best. We all have our own preferences. And concerning integrity, since you can order many guns WITH custom stippling, id say it must not do much integrity wise. All youve done is void the warranty, which… If you havent fired it enough to void the warranty already, then you really dont know if you need stippling anyways. So its a matter of opinion and preference.Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
Firing your gun enough can void a warranty? Did I read that right? Which manufacturer does that?December 27, 2025 at 1:16 pm #143150admin
KeymasterStippling is definitely a personal choice. Just keep in mind that if you try and trade the gun in the future, you might have a hard time doing so because most folks think it’s fugly.

I believe it was Kimber who used to have a 2000 round limit / 1 year, however this thread made me go check the warranty stipulations as of now and that is no longer there. I could be mistaken and be remebering wrong.Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk

Keymasterwhat i have read on multiple forums from people who say they have personal experience in this very thing: stippling will void the warranty, but if the gun goes in for reasons other than the frame, they do not care. if it goes in for a problem with the frame, they will not honor the warranty. i have no first person experience in this. *legal disclamer*:do not use anything i have said as legal advice.

Dang! That is crazy if that is still in place. LOL! 2k rounds is just getting a gun broken in.December 27, 2025 at 1:17 pm #143155admin

Right?! I was appalled when I first checked their warranty. Thank God its no longer in there… Although they do claim that 300 rounds is sufficient for fully breaking in their firearms. Can’t say I disagree on that point so far.Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk

Keymasteris that a G17? Thats a big gun!

KeymasterI finally broke down and did my Gen 1 G19. I stayed within the original texture that was already on the grip. I used the finest needle tip I could find and more or less just tapped the surface. It came out more like a grip tape pattern than the traditional golf ball pattern. I also did the beaver tail adapter that I have on the gun. All of it was just a little “grabby”, so I did smooth it slightly with 1000 grit sandpaper. I really like it. Now I am debating whether to do my 26. I know Im Not getting rid of the 19, as I have owned it more than 20 years, but I might someday let the 26 go. How do you folks feel that it would hurt the resale/trade value ?

Hey guys. I have an extra glock 19 that I want stippled. I don’t care about $. I just want the best. What is the best company who does it| Sent from my iPhone 4S |
Weopon Worx, they have a website and they are based out of Tuscon AZ they do some pretty good work if you wanna pay the price. My opinion is to get a soldering iron and some old scrap cell phone holsters to practice on and different bits for the iron and practice, then get your gun laid out how you want it and do it yourself. I’ve done my 870 and some pmags.December 27, 2025 at 1:18 pm #143159admin
KeymasterNice dragonfly holster. Get that to match the tattoo on your lower back?
Is that enough hating for you? Couldn’t knock the Glock after all.
