I did My own stippling and grip reduction. Super easy, but there are companies out there that do amazing work.
Boresight solutions and “Sweaty, Muddy, Bloody” do great work. They can reduce the grip, remove finger grooves, increase mag release recess, etc.

Nice! I like larger guns, but have small hands/digits. Really dislike finger grooves since they never fit me. Stippling makes the grip both dimensionally smaller and grippier for me.

Grip reductions are fairly simple as well. All you need is play-doh, marine epoxy and sandpaper. A Dremel is very helpful as well. I removed the swelled backstrap, sanded off finger grooves and cut a groove in each side of the magwell to make it easier to strip mags.
Additionally, I enlarged the recessed area for the mag release so I don’t have to reposition my hand to reload, and contoured the trigger guard to allow my hand to be higher up on the gun. This took a few hours of work but works great for my tiny little girl hands.
If I had the money, I would have sent it to Boresight, just because I was so nervous to do it myself. It’s an addiction now. I stipple everything and I’ll be chopping my buddy’s G22 down to a G27 and doing the same reductions and stippling.

I use skate tape its easy to remove and to install and works just as good as stippling.

I have thought a lot about doing this myself, but it scared the hell out me. As of now I am using “Talon” grip tape and I am very happy with it. I need my grip to be bigger…not smaller :p

Grab a few A2 grips from a gunshow, and practice on them.

I personally like stippling for both aesthetic and grip enhancement. Mine are done by Chris Damato.

Excellent and aesthetically pleasing job, and on a fish gill no less. 😉

Lou at Business End Custom’s has a couple of nice texture options. One in particular he does with a grip reduction and epoxy looks very professional.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead for my first post, but did you decide to get your Glock stippled, and if so, who did you go with ???

For my money, Cold Bore Customs does the best work. Here’s my G19 that Lane did…

For me, my primary goal was to loose the finger grooves and flatten the rear strap. The stippling was just a nice added bonus

FDE is tricky in that if you use a bit (like the kind used to make the waffle pattern) you will, most likely burn the polymer since the bit “heat sinks” and also traps burnt polymer. That’s even why a few places won’t do any other color but black.

My stuff is all done free hand, so I don’t run into that problem. :uhhuh:

All good but that FDE is amazing. Makes me want one and I usually don’t see the point.
