I’m not a rabid “gun person” and I’m clearly not “anti-gun.” Own two handguns, two rifles and a Mossberg 12 ga. Have never CC’d. Enjoyed 15-years of deer and elk trips when lived in Colorado. These days, I’m a target shooter.
All that said, it’s disconcerting to see this recent development from Google Shopping (until recently, Google Product Search): Google Sparks Outrage, Censors Guns, Ammo and Accessories.
The short version: Merchants who participate in Google Shopping are now prohibited from listing guns, ammunition and related accessories.
A tin-foil hat isn’t part of my wardrobe (well, not usually
) , but can’t help but wonder how Google might next choose to use their monolithic power.
