Here is some online video’s from Amazon that outline what’s available. Pretty basic but a good overview:

I have found that the internet provides all my entertainment, even with out subscribing to Google TV or Roku. There are so many places to watch what I want when I want to. I have to say though Netflix is fantistic. My roommate has it on his xbox, so nice to be able to just sit down and watch almost any movie or tv show.

We used to use the Nintendo Wii for Netflix streaming until I acquired a Roku HD. It works much better for that, the picture is very nice for most movies.

We have a delicate situation here because we can’t get DirecTV and Comcast is horrible. So we ended up getting DirecTV at my parent’s house and have it streamed via Slingbox over the internet.

I’ve been without cable for four years. Quite happy with the decision.

    What I recommend.

    1. Xbox for watcing netflix.
    2. Xbox with a dedicated PC running PlayOn. In brief, PlayOn streams the following. I mainly use it for Hulu, Youtube and Revision3 videos.
    3. Have a router with the ability to share a Hard drive over the Wifi. You can then use the XBox to access and watch whatever content you load on it. I also have mu iTunes library on the shared HD for across the house coverage of whatever content is in iTunes.
