Introducing Hank the pocket square with a pocket… Short end, NEVER BUY THIS ITEM.

Long story,

Ive known about this little textile device for quite some time but never had a reason to buy until now. I had my semester end presentation this past Monday (June 22- 15) and wore my blazer, what better than a pocket square with a built in pocket to hold some EDC gear while doing my presentation? This is where my excitement started and ended, I emailed the company as they are very small and not much is published about them, I wanted to know if they were even still in business as most of their accounts (on social media) stopped months ago. I received a very polite and quick email back explaining my various questions and it was over Saturday and Sunday…wow. Here is the downfall however, I payed using Paypal at 9:00 A.M. on Monday and as stated on their website it would take 24 hours to process which is a standard for most businesses, the kicker is it took 3 days to process the order and 4 days to actually give it to the post office. I sent several emails to the company requesting a cancellation in order to choose over night shipping for it to arrive before my presentation on Monday. Silence. The company once receiving the payment shut off all communication. The post purchase experience is one of the worst I have ever had even though the pre purchase was excellent.

The pocket concept is a complete joke, the pocket designed for your phone or glasses is a stretch to hold even an iPhone 5 which as any Android fan will say is a small phone and this is without any case at all, just a “naked” iPhone, and hopefully you don’t receive any calls while its in the pocket as you will not be able to get to it in time.

Then while holding a pair of Ray Ban New Wayfarers (my thinnest pair of sun glasses) pushed the “hank” into a bulging mess.

On top of this horrid design for a main pocket there is a shoddy sewn on front pocket designed to hold cards or even cash, sad part is the fact you cannot use more than 2 standard thickness cards or with cash without it going into the danger zone.

Oh and you would think you could carry the cards and sunglasses together haha think again you must pick one or the other.

I intended to use it to carry my sunglasses a Mont Blanc pen and some cards and it cannot even do this.

Here I tried three models of Mont Blanc,

a Meisterstuck will not fit or rather will not fit without feeling as though the clip will bend and break.

The Boheme works okay but I wouldn’t try it with the Boheme’s already delicate design.

The only one I would trust to go in this thing is a Starwalker.

The most Ive been able to fit in and actually look okay while doing it is a Leatherman PST, a Mont Blanc Starwalker and two cards.

However if the intention is to be a “professional” looking item perhaps a pen, car key and cards will work, you just have to get over the patented “perfect” gathering at the top. Which looks quite bad in person.

Full story is this is a terribly awful product with a horrible and quite embarrassing customer service. I am disappointed in how the product performs but the fact is that if you want a pre made pocket square it works as well as most pre made things, you wish it was better but it works… and only minimally. This is of course without using the actual “features” it includes.
The company is bad, the product is bad, the silk feels like no other silk, and I don’t mean this in a good way, actually Im not sure it truly is silk.

It looks good but it’s just not worth it. AT ALL!
