Helikon-tex cobra belt & buckle dimensions.

Hi everyone,

I have recently purchased the Helikon-tex cobra belt, and while i’m very happy with the quality, i’m pretty shocked by the huge size of the buckle (see pics below).
The buckle is intended for a 45mm strap, and is so big that it creates a buldge when i’m wearing a simple T-shirt over it.
I intend to keep the belt, but I also intrigued by the idea of getting a smaller cobra belt, perhaps the 33mm one, and making my own belt.

Can anyone tell if the buckle of the lesser sizes is still as thick as the one of the 45mm? I couldn’t find any information regarding thickness anywhere online, and I don’t have a store near me where i can fiddle with it myself.
