Just picked up my second Hinderer Investigator Pen, like them a lot but hate, really hate fisher refills and there globs. Is there any other refill I can use besides the Schmidt 4889? Would love to use the Zebra F 301 refill. After pulling off the metal sleeve and trimming the knob at other end of one, it looks like it should fit but the tip will not come through enough. Think its the step up for the plastic tube over the metal tip. Pulled the metal tip out of the plastic tube almost 1/16 of an inch and it does go through then but I dont know if I trust the tip staying on or leaking. Could I trust it if I glued it? Thoughts.
