How and Where is your gun in your vehicle?

Hey all, I have been looking at a strong magnet mount to mount my pistol in my car. I usually carry on my hip and I do practice drawing from a car. But for those long night drives. I would like to have my full size ruger and streamlight mounted light next to me. So my main question is, how and where do you mount a gun in your vehicle. I don’t mind if it is a rilfe, shotgun, or handgun. Also to add, In CA, if you have a ccw, your ccw gun can be anywhere in your vehicle, even in plain sight. Pictures are extremely appreciated.
