How do you carry extra lithium ion batteries

I hope this is the correct spot to ask this. I am sure this has been asked and answered before, however after trying the search function and some Google searches I came up empty.

So I am looking for ideas to carry a few extra batteries. Planing on having AAA, AA, and 18650s. I have a metal tin that is the perfect size and would protect against crushing. Any suggestions on insulating the inside so I don’t end up shorting out my batteries? I was thinking of lining the inside with a microfiber lens cloth, however I am not sure if that will work. Thanks in advance for the help.
