Gotta put mine in a holster. My pocket real estate is much too valuable to carry a phone. For the past several years I’ve been swapping between 3 custom built holsters. One elephant and 2 cow.

Left front pocket. It’s usually the only thing in there so it’s not a problem.

I made mine with movement in mind. It is low profile and flexible.

Personally, I find that a phone in a front pocket restricts movement far more than a belt holster. A phone in a back pocket isn’t cumbersome, but is in the way when sitting. A have a few pairs of pants with a thigh pocket, which is a great place to put a phone, but, except for those pants, I find that a belt holster is less cumbersome than trying to carry a phone in my pocket. YMMV.

Thin Otterbox and left front pocket. I’ve clipped poles and walls, tried to squeeze between parked cars… and knocked my phone off my belt too many times for me to ever carry something that expensive so exposed.

My work pants have cargo pockets, so at work or after work the phone goes in a cargo pocket. When out most places the phone is in the pocket of a jacket.
I hate large phones, a couple of years ago I tried the Galaxy S7 Edge, it´s not a large phone compared to many but I even found that too big for me to comfortably carry……. I´m om my 2nd Samsung Galaxy A2 2017, it works as a phone, holds my music and takes respectable photos. I use a clip on phone cover for protection.

I used to carry my phones in a belt holster; pockets were already full of stuff and I didn’t want to add any more bulk. Last couple of years though, when on my feet, I just put it in my back pocket and that works out fine. If Im at my desk (office or home) it’s just sitting on the desk within arm’s reach.

Otterbox Defender. Only part I found I did not like is the spring loaded clip for belt wear. Fortunately (?) said clip snapped off within a week. I find that without the clip the whole thing is easier to carry either in a pocket or in whatever bag I’m carrying that day.

I’m such a freaking weirdo about cases. I rarely pay full price, but I have like 8 of them for my 12 pro max.

Just got Juggernaut case. So tactical. So overkill. Hahah. So good. Dumb. But good.

The right side thigh pocket on the taclite pro or abr pro pants I wear at work, the right side pocket on the apex or any other pants I happen to wear.
Never in back pocket I would definitely break it with my buns of steel
