How to store handgun in 2019 Silverado?

Just got a 2019 Silverado and looking for best way to keep a handgun in it. I have a concealed carry permit so no worries there. Mine has a cavernous center console which is the obvious place.

My prior truck’s center console was smaller and it actually helped prop the pistol up in a good orientation to grab it when needed. This center console is massive and pistol will simply rest in the bottom, but could slide or bounce around.

There is also a small tray on the sides of the center console just the right of the driver’s calf – a pistol could fit in that if placed upside down although I don’t like the idea of the pistol bouncing around on the sights. A leather or nylon holster could pad it though.
