I found myself wanting (slightly longish)

I witnessed someting today that made me promise to finally put a “more serious” FAK together and keep it with me.

What happened was that i was waiting for my better half and heard thud and a scream. A girl maybe five years old had fallen off a stone wall something like 4′ high. She was crying, her mother was scared and upset looking for injuries when i realised i wasn’t carrying what would be really useful if the child was seriously injured.

No traumadressing or gauze, no pocketmask or gloves. In short i didn’t carry a number of things i could have needed.

Luckily the girl was fine with only bumps and bruises, she was probably mostly frightened by her mothers reaction but i decided to get upgraded.
Possibly i will make it a separate FAK and keep my small EDC more booboo oriented.

Anyways, i got a scare and i am very happy everything ended happily for mother and daughter.
