Tech that I work with is moving out of state…
He had one of the chinese HT’s (that seem to be either loved or hated depending on who you ask) that he was using as a volunteer firefighter and gave it to me as a parting gift…
So I’ve been playing with this thing for a few days now (never pushing the PTT button of course
) and seems like it’s something I’m interested in learning much more about…I realize there are several HAMS on this board and am just wanting to know where to get started as I’m fully aware that I need to be licensed before I can really use my HT for more than weather and monitoring…
Books, websites, and all other media suggestions will be much appreciated!
