So I have an iPod touch 5G on its way to me. I plan to use it when walking (or maybe running) for music, in the car connected to the radio, and daily in an organizer role; for example note taking, calculator, games, web browsing at home when my Wife or kids have the computer, etc. I would like to protect it and I need some suggestions on cases please.
I have considered the Ottorbox Defender, Lifeproof, and Griffin survivor cases and have some concerns with each.
Ottorbox is one I’m leaning towards but am worried about water protection. I’m not planning on swimming with it, but may like to listen to music or take pictures while walking in the rain.
Griffin Survivor just looks too bulky overall for me. I’d like something a bit streamlined.
Lifeproof looks good, but I’m a bit concerned that access to the headphone jack is too “fiddly.”
Are there any other good suggestions? Am I worrying too much about impact and water and could go with something like the Speck Candyshell, or Otterbox Prefix?
