I have about 1,000 rounds thru my 3 month old PF-9, and when I took it the range this Sunday I was surprised that about half of the first 50 rounds that I fired did not exit the chamber. Duds? Bad batch of ammo? I thought so at first, but I tried a new box of ammo from a different manufacturer… same problem. So, I’m assuming it’s the firing pin or one of the springs connected to it. I sent it back to Kel-Tec this morning, hopefully the warranty will cover the problem parts.

I’m only posting this as a warning/reminder for those of you who carry daily, as I do. If I hadn’t been diligent with my training, I could’ve just carried my firearm without firing it at the range, never knowing that it’s not working properly. By training, and using the handgun, I was “blessed” to find out, in a safe environment, that my protection wouldn’t have protected me properly in a life-threatening situation.

    Lesson learned; the easy way.
