Well, my grandpa had a mild stroke a week ago and he’s doing remarkably well. So much so, he bailed hay the very same evening he came home from the hospital.
It’s amazing what some older people can do. I just hope I’m as active as he is now, when I get to be his age…
The doctor prescribed coumadin for him to take and they warned of a higher risk of bleeding and such which has caused me to worry a bit.
So, I would like to request some assistance from those of you on the Forums that might have a medical background. What would a good first aid kit consist of for an individual taking medication such as this? Is there an off-the-shelf kit that would work or would creating a custom kit work better?
He has no other allergies and doesn’t require any other medication as far as I know at this point (so I already know he’s well ahead of the curve), however, I would just like to create a kit he can keep with him while he’s out in the pasture away from his house in case he gets a nasty cut and can’t stop the bleeding.
Thanks ahead of time for your help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
