Some of you may know already but I just found out today that Marge(M in K&M Industries) died of cancer November of 2015. Keith, her husband has decided to sell the company. For those of you who don’t know K&M Industries made, in my humble opinion one of the best old style brass match cases. Yes they also produced annodized aluminum ones but it was the brass ones that caught my eye. I am a fence sitter when it comes to outdoor gear; leather, oil skin and brass are some of my weaknesses. I have purchased 4 brass cases; 2 for myself, 1 for my son on his 14th birthday and 1 for my sisters husband. After learning about Marge and the demise of K&M I searched on line and could only find aluminum ones for sale so I bought 2 from a place in Ontario Canada. I live right next door to Idaho and needed to buy it from a foreign country…..lol. On several occasions I have talked to both Keith and Marge, it was a pleasure and a priveledge……old style mom n pop outfits are almost gone if not gone for good. Anyway I’m starting to ramble on……I’ve told my son and cautioned him not to lose it, both of mine will be treasured. Both are part of my EDC regardless of what the gram wennies preach, Keith and I joked about that during one long phone conversation. Oh well………
