I was wandering the virtual aisle of the virtual auction site, Evilbay and my desire to find a treasure Swiss Army Knife brought me to page after page of knives. I noticed multiple listing of TSA CONFISCATED KNIVES and I began to ponder the very thought of me forgetting a pocket knife, on my person or carry on and having it CONFISCATED by some dolt with TSA! I don’t know about you I grow attached to my things, especially my knives and each have my spirit in them and the thought of them tossed into an evidence box and them auctioned off in ignominious lots with other poor misfortunate offenders reminds me of when R2D2 and C3PO were captured and throw into the bowels of some intergalactic junk hauler. Each knife probably has a story of its owner and how they ended up CONFISCATED. While I had this revelation I instinctively reached for my Reeve’s Sebenza and sighed a breath of relief that it had not been cast into a lot of CONFISCATED blades. It seems to me that maybe I should start a company standing by all TSA checkpoints with padded envelops and stamps, so these cherished tools could be sent home instead of knife jail!

    Just thinking aloud……

Please share your ditty on how your pocket knife ended its travels with you.
