Just received the Kuma Spork yesterday and had a chance to test it out a bit. I received the stainless steel versions. There are also anodized aluminum versions available. I opted for the SS iteration because I do not like the idea of anodizing eventually wearing off.
The spork is actually very well thought out and comfortable to hold. The bowl is deep enough, and large enough to actually be used, but without being too large to place in your mouth. And for a $10 item, the machining on the Kuma is the best I’ve seen on any EDC cutlery item. I wish all of my dinnerware were of this quality. The Kuma is thick and has a fine, orange peel like texture. All edges are nicely finished and rounded, even at the tines.
All in all, I’m happy with the Kuma. Do I think it will replace all of my cutlery? No, but it makes a fine EDC travel eating utensil.
