I currently use an old school Gerber 400. It has almost everything I want in an MT, exccept a saw. So, I have recently been tempted to buy a Leatherman Wave. It has everything I want in a multi tool. However I have heard the driver is a proprietay shank size and they do not take 1/4″ bits. Is this true? I have found a Leatherman bit extender that says it takes 1/4″ bits in addition to their bits, would I have to buy that in addition to the Wave just so I can use my 1/4″ bits?
