    So yep.
I have been following the Signal since Leatherman announced it.
I have heard some say it’s like the MUT with less ‘tactical’ features, but I think it is a separate tool on it’s own.
So I think we should have a thread to debate the merits and pros/cons of both.

    I’ll start:

    Leatherman Signal

    -survival and outdoors oriented
    -folding screwdriver
-awl (I personally don’t use these, but I know a lot of peeps want them)
    -bit driver hole
    -hammer end
    -ferrocium rod/whistle
    -fine diamond file/shaprener
    -$120 MSRP
    -4.5in closed
    -7.5 oz

    Leatherman MUT

    -Firearms and tactical oriented
    -firearms pin punch
    -bronze scraper
    -long bit holder
    -replaceable strap cutter
    -screwdriver built into frame
    -firearms cleaning rod threaded hole
    -$160 MSRP
    -5in closed
    -11.2 oz

My personal choice is undecided. Considering I do a lot with firearms, the MUT seems like I would prefer it, but I like the Signal, as well. I like the diamond file/sharpener on the Signal and the solid hammer end, as compared to the MUT hammer end with the strap cutter. I really wish you could combine them.
