So I’ve been looking at flashlights again. I have a very specific idea about what I want. Currently my EDC light is a Maratac AAA Gen 1.

    – I want a light with a more modern and efficient LED

    – A neutral or warm tint (I’m not a tint snob but I’m not a fan of blue or green tints)

    – A well defined hotspot with a decent amount of spill

    – Regulated modes vs PWM would be preferred

    – Twisty (though I might consider a clickey)

    – Aluminium body, absolutely no Titanium but might consider copper or brass

    – Ability to tail stand

    – lanyard attachment point is a plus, though I don’t care about a pocket clip

    – Ability to run AAA and 10440 batteries without getting super hot on high

    – MLH sequence is highly preferred (seems to be really hard to find)

    – Either no or hidden disco modes

Basically if the current Gen Maratac supported 10440 cells that would be about perfect. Any ideas, or is this just a pipe dream?
