Machete?

I’m looking for something to clear brush, small sticks and the sort and the occasional processing wood.

I’ve owned some cheaper random machetes with poor results. Bending blade edge and chips. I’m not sure what steel to look for for decent results and edge retention.

Any suggestions and info would be nice, I’m thinking around 12″ maybe more maybe less.
