Jim Madrid is not only a skilled craftsman, but also has stellar customer support. For a one person shop, it talks a whole lot about his integrity as a seller. I recently had a chance to interact with him and what a pleasure it was.
So I dropped the SS bolt-action on a concrete floor deforming its tip. This affected the bolt action. Because I did not have proper tools, I ended up with a weird shaped hole through which refills could at least move freely. But then they started wobbling while writing. Fast forward a few months and I casually mentioned this to Jim, and he immediately offered to help – last week my pen was sent to him, and within a week I have it back. Charges? Nil. But met a fine person. He not only fixed the tip, but also polished the pen again. I am so pleased.
If you want a superb pen, Maxmadco has the bolt action, in both SS (heavy) and light weight HAIII alu version. Tough to boot and does not scare away people.
