Anyone run military surplus bags for anything? I have a few and have had good luck with them, especially when compared with the cost. I just can’t lay out the cash for some of the bags that are popular here like the Maxpeditions, Vertx, etc.
I have an olive drab shoulder bag I bought at a mil surp store that I use as a laptop bag. It has a red diamond with wings on it, but the logo is pretty discreet, mostly it just looks like an OD colored laptop bag. It holds my Sony Viao plus extra gear, no problem. I like it a lot.
I also have an OD “tool bag” i think they called it, that is super basic with just one big compartment. That works as a range bag, or a supply bag when hunting as its pretty sturdy and I don’t worry about getting it dirty.
Anyone else use Military Surplus bags?
