My new Remington got shipped in on Thursday and first thing in the morning I took it to the range to break it in.

So lets see what it comes with first before I go over just how pleased I am with this new pistol.

Comes with two extra magazines, one is flush mount and the other has a pinkie extension. Both hold 6 rounds.

    Pistol with pinkie extension magazine.

And with just a flush magazine.

This stupid safety lock required by law which just increases the price.

Out of the box I found the fit of the gun excellent! And finish seemed very plain but done very well.

On to how the gun shot. I took with me 200 rounds of ball ammo to give it a full work out.

I did not disassemble and clean before shooting. Just put some oil between the slide and frame and that was it.

Shooting the small gun had a very little kick and reminded me of my fathers SIG P238 which has very little recoil.

Was not shooting for accuracy that day but with little effort it hit the target and seemed very accurate.

The double action trigger pull is very long and reminds me of my LCR which has a excellent trigger pull. RM380 is probably just as good, but will need to take both to the range again to compare more throughly.

So out of the 200 rounds shot I had the slide not fully come forward in place so I could shoot another round. This was at around 150 rounds and I think this was because of a limp wrist and I was getting a little wrist tired. Otherwise perfect!

I really liked the placement of the ambi magazine release which is easy to get to and does not get in the way for accidental release when shooting. I like shooting with both hands so this feature was important one when I was making my decision for a new pocket pistol.

Getting it home to clean it you can see just how dirty it got.

Disassembly is extremely easy and simple.

Cleaning of the pistol is also very easy. Almost as easy cleaning a revolver time wise.

This new pistol from Remington is a big winner. All medal frame and slide. Made in America and based off of a proven design. This will be for my personal protection for some time in the future.
