I have been using a Red Rock Outdoor Lunada clone for some time now as an Edc bag. I chose that one because of the organization and it didn’t break the bank for my first man purse. It has signs of wear, but overall it has been a good pack.
My philosophy of the bag is first the everyday (boo-boo kit, hygiene kit, lunch, pens, light, loyalty cards, book, ect.) and also an “active shooter” bag (trauma kit, spare magazines.) I recently also built a get home kit (food, water filter, shelter, emergency stuff) in a Condor admin pouch that I keep in the truck. The idea is to throw the get home kit in the Edc bag and have a complete system. Tested it out this weekend and the Lunada clone is overloaded and too heavy for a single strap. After mile 2 it was not pleasant at all to carry. I could lighten the load I suppose, but I’d just rather have a lager bag to fit my Microsoft surface as well
This is what I need in my next bag:
-2 straps
-able to fit surface tablet
-organized pockets
-larger than Luanda, but not too big
-able to attach molle trauma kit to outside
-in budget of >$150
Perks, but not required
-Not quite so tactical
-ccw compatible
-brown
I looked at the Pygmy Falcon, and I was not impressed with the organization though it seems the right size. The Vanquest trident looks pretty sweet but looks maybe too large.
Thanks for the help!
