Need a new MP3 Player

I just lost my Sansa Clip, and while it was OK it wasn’t the best. I’ve used an iPod for years before that (Classic’s and Nano) and had found little that could beat them in the UI department, but iTunes Sucks and I’ve moved away from Mac’s again (linux so no iTunes anyway) so the whole single ecosystem bit doesn’t hold any sway.

Ideally I’d like something Nano ish sized (the Clip was a little on the small side) with the headphone jack on the top, and a quick way to get either full volume or some kind of line out feed so I can plug it into my car’s stereo.

Any suggestions ?
