KeymasterSo you guys recommend me a Fenix PD35 and it turned out to be an exellent light. You guys know your stuff. Now I’m back to needing a headlamp.
Sorry for the wall of text that’s coming.I really like the detachable type like the Zebralights and Armyteks. I’d like it to be something I can take off the headband and throw in the pocket. I try to take good care of my stuff but I use it hard and things break on my a lot, I need a solid tool.
I like a somewhat floody light but not a true flood. It’ll be for hiking, camping, dog walking, sometimes reading, close up work at the bench, all around user. I’d really like it to show natural color. My old headlamp makes everything yellowy brown.Ive narrowed it down to H32w and the Armytek tiara(not exactly sure which one, very confusing) and the Fenix HL50. Most of my lights are CR123s but I’m also concidering the AA counterparts to these lights just to be able to find batteries anywhere.
Seems like the Armyteks have better warrenty and more rugged construction, Zebralights seem to have more versatile modes and be more user friendly. The Fenix can use either battery but doesn’t have a very low mode…
It would be really cool if you could loosen the cap and it not be able to activate. Idk if any of these can do that.I can’t find much info comparing these lights. I see good reviews for all but a lot of the technical specs go right over my head. Is there a clear winner that I’m just missing?
Thank you for the input! -
