KeymasterI don’t normally like messenger bags. I have had 2 given to me as gifts, but they didn’t see much use.
I recent found myself in possession of a Commuter 2.0 bag from Timbuk 2. Very nice. For a guy who travels for work it might be the perfect travel bag. It has a good grab handle, it is TSA scanner approved, has a handle pass- through and well designed pockets. It is big enough to hold all my stuff, and actually wears pretty well fully loaded. Only complaint is that the laptop compartment could be a bit bigger.
I actually have replaced my old leather briefcase with this bag. Take a look at one if you are looking for a new travel-ready bag.

KeymasterGoing to make a couple recommendations to your IFAK set up
1. take the plastic wrap off your CAT TK. If you ever need it (god forbid for you, a family member or a complete stranger) this will slow down the application. Specially once the stress kicks in and you loose fine motor skills to tear open packages.
2. Recommend getting a different set up for keeping it all together. There are some pouches that has an external tk pouch that will help protect your CAT tk from the sun and other environments as well as protecting the other items ( bandages, hemostatic gauze, chest seals) intact from the environments ( keeps things dry and helps protect the packaging to keep items sterile)
I’m currently struggling on figuring out what’s the best pouch to keep an IFAK/ trauma kit for the bag I go to the field with at work. All the ones I have are either all too big or too small for what I want to carry

KeymasterCongratulations on the new bag. The Moab 10 has some nice features. I was never big on sling bags, but I’ve come around recently.
I agree with your comments on the deployment bag. I have one and actually used it as a small FAK for a while, but like you I don’t care for the handle position. I keep it around though and will find another use for it. As for the E&E bag, I know from your posts that it’s been your main bag for some time. Good to see that it’s going to continue in another role. Hopefully the Moab 10 serves you as well as the E&E has.

KeymasterI’ve thought about a second Condor EMT light rip away for the tourniquet and Israeli bandage . Taking the plastic off the tourniquet is a good idea. I am still working on where stuff rides best on it . I do want first aid stuff accessable from the outside of the bag

KeymasterAs I said. I am in the process of updating my work edc. I’ve gone from the medic in the field supporting troops to the guy training and dispatching the medics. Definitely a different mind set. Don’t need a full medic bag anymore but still would like some medical supplies kind of thing. I do like the 5.11 tactical line of bags. I’ve had mine since late 2010 and still use it
