Well I’ve been wearing a suunto vector for about a year now. It’s a great watch and I love it. However I hate always having to worry about how much I use it and the battery not lasting as long as I want. I’ve dwelled for a while on this. The solution was to get a casio protek org-270. It’s has all of the same features of the vector and more. It has more alarm features, sunrise and sunset times, and best of all solar. It will last for 9 months in the dark on a full charge. Apparently this is their best ABC watch out yet as far as power consumption. I love this watch. Personally I think it looks nicer than the vector but that’s only my opinion. But it is a lot more user friendly with dedicated buttons. Also it seems the ABC functions are a little more accurate than the vector. I have nothing against suunto. In fact suunto has some watches that look a lot better if you dress more formal. The solar feature is really what sold me.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve heard of the batteries lasting 5 years+ without needing replacement.
