Just got this in:

This is an interesting product. The paper is made from finely ground stone and set in a special resin.
The texture is very similar to the Yupo paper on the Field Notes Expedition, perhaps a bit less slick. It also has a very plasticky field like the Yupo paper (tear resistant). Except… you can pretty much use what ever ink you want. It says it’s waterproof which might steer you away from gels pens and other water based inks. However, I just used the Parker in my Maxmadco, waited about 30 seconds and the ink didn’t wipe off. There is a little smearing, but perhaps I didn’t let the gel ink dry long enough. If I did this on the Yupo paper, I would have smeared it really bad, no matter how long I wait for the gel ink to dry.

Only problem (albeit, small) is that I think the cover is made from some sort of cardstock (I can easily tear it). Definitely, would have been nice if the cover was also made from Repap. Then it really would have give a run for its money against the Field Notes Expedition.
Though, I’d say, the Ogami is a pretty good EDC alternative to the Field Notes Expedition if anyone wants to try a waterproof, tear resistant paper.
