I had this basic idea on Friday as I was leaving the plastic store with a big sheet of Kydex, guess I missed the boat. On Sunday’s Gun Talk with Tom Gresham there’s this dude selling Kydex holster kits! Basically a Super/King Tuck-able type design in either pre-molded or un-molded versions. Old Faithful Holsters (with whom I have no affiliation) also sells fully assembled holsters for what seem like pretty fair prices. Complete kits with either flat or gun-specific molded Kydex and even the individual components that make up the kits are available.
I just noticed they’ll also give you 10% off your order if you sign up on their forum and another two bucks refunded when you post pics of your finished project. Lots of ways to get a discount at the top right of the home page.
So if you’re like me and love this type of holster but find it expensive to outfit your entire arsenal, here’s an inexpensive, and fun, alternative.
