I’m having a cathartic moment as of late and have to ask: Does anyone here carry only a Swiss Army knife as their EDC folder?
I currently have a ZT0550, a Spyderco Para2, and a DPx HEST 2.0 as my hard use folders and have carried one of these for a year or so. (Before that it was $5 truck stop folders) I also have a few Victorinox SAK’s (OHT, Huntsman, Alox Cadet, Alox Farmer, and a classic SD on the keychain).
So I’ve been carrying only a VSA One Hand Trekker w/ pocket clip mod and an Alox Cadet for the last few days and really haven’t missed the bigger folders! I’m seriously considering going straight SAK for my personal EDC. I just can’t think of anything that the OHT/smaller SAK combo couldn’t handle. Not to mention the fact that I almost ALWAYS have a SwissTool Spirit RT on my hip. Should I rearrange my assets, maybe keeping only 1 of the larger folders? Seems like a lot of impractical $ that could be used elsewhere (or for more SAKS..haha)
What say you here at the forum? Large folder and SAK, just SAK, no SAK…?
