KeymasterI purchased this item to use at work from the Orca Arms Store in San Diego. So far so good and I am very pleased with how well this has held up for the past six months.
Measures 8 x 6 x 2.5. Here it is compared to a Maxped Mini Organizer. I have it attached to a thigh rig and was too lazy to remove it.
Two large zippers open her up and it has an adjustable cord system to control how far you want to open it. The zippers are not YKK and are somewhat stiff to zip around. The pouch material and construction are top notch. Wearing it on my thigh exposes it to abuse and it has held up well with no tears or threads coming loose. It is made with what the company calls Pluma Vires, kevlar coated material which they say is stronger and lighter than codura nylon.
There is a slot to keep shears in and it uses a strap and buckle to keep it secure.
The front has a tear away section held by velcro. I like this as one can toss it to a partner if necessary.
The tear away portion has adjustable shock cord keepers so you can fit and adapt it to your needs.
It also has a pocket for flat storage. I keep a folded Halo seal in here.
The rear section has a single mesh pocket and also houses the keeper used to adjust the size of the drawbridge opening. The pocket is spacious and you can cram lots of stuff in it.
This is what I have packed in the pouch. There is still room to spare.
The outer rear of the pouch has webbing and Orca Arms keeper system which is basically a strap with a ‘T’ on the end. Flipping the end over the last loop of webbing keeps the pouch in place.
Overall I am happy with the pouch and can recommend it to others who are looking for a simple and durable medical pouch.
