Organizing my edc in a tool chest (ie Matco or Snapon)

Does anyone have any experiences organizing their edc items using a tool chest?

I currently have several different use-specific pouches, bags, tins, etc, and several flashlights, knives, multi tools that I rotate, but these items don’t have a specific living place when not in use. I am considering a tool chest to organize.

Something big enough to be future proofed as the size of my collection grows, durable enough to last, and cosmetically inoffensive. Ergo, a multi drawer tool chest.

Any input would be welcome.
