Pen or Pencil?

I’m somebody who often needs both a pen and a pencil for work. I also occasionally carry them for music related activities for when I want to scribble notes on music in pencil and mark things in my date book in pen. I’ve been considering getting a multipen for those days when I don’t want to carry two separate writing instruments. So, do you usually carry a pen, pencil, both, or a multipen?

At the moment, I usually carry both in a large cell phone holster at work, but I carry only a pen the rest of the time. I’ve been having problems in church choir where I have a pen, but need a pencil to make notes on music, hence my curiosity as to what you guys normally carry.
